I know I'll never be 

Someone needed 

I know I'll never be 

Someone's priority 

To feel so alone 

Yet surrounded 

It's a wondrous thought 

Yet confounded 

I walk my path alone 

Beating my own drum 

I'll wait and wait for him 

But fear he'll never come
