Just let me burn until I'm nothing.

It'll prove to me that you're loving.

Let me slip away from you're finger tips,

And let me feel deep ecstasy, like the lingering taste of your lip.

That's all that I want to remember.

These things bring back those cold last Decembers.

The smell of your hair and your tears on my cheek

Make me think of your "sympathetic" mystique.

Now watch my eyes for the loss of a shine,

And when my hands start slipping through yours like luscious wine.

They'll let you know when I'm gone.

I don't think I'll be seeing a new dawn...

You said to me our love was eternity.

You said it to me so perfectly.

How your love for me was no chore,

This you truly swore.

When did you throw away the promise you made?

The one where you prayed?

Where you said you'd never forget me?

I knew this love was never to be.

When I remembered the part where I left you laying on your lap,

And realized this was all your little trap.

So God now I call on you,

Will you let me pass and carry me through?

The one I love has now disappeared.

My time has come, the time I always feared.

God I've tried and lied,

But please don’t push me aside.

Let me into a world that's high class?
