Family My sisters face is hidden,
Behind a smile and a laugh.
By a mask that she's created,
To hide that she is sad.
She sits here beside me
And talks of memories past,
I watch her very intently
Wondering how long it can last.
She has always been the strong one
The one without a care,
Now I had to be the strong one
Although my heart was about to tear.
Her voice so soft and shaky
As she said these words to me,
Someone has broken my heart,
But my sister you'll forever be.
With this simple quote
A tear came to my eye
Because I am forever her sister
And she forever mine.
