The Lord and I have coffee

We talk about the day,



He asked if I had taken time

To stop and start to pray.



You see my List is quite Large

I need you far and wide,



First you need to take  time

So we can abide.



We thought about a 2nd cup

Before we start our day,



He said that first I need to stop

And take time to pray.



I started on the list

Looking first until the last,



Time  was really going by

The day was flying  past.



The Lord and I were busy

The day we did complete,



He asked me at the ending day

Why we did not meet.



I told Him I was sorry

I told Him excuses galore,



I told Him it wasn’t really my fault

He needs to remind me more.
