Memories

How can I describe you? Kind? Caring? Funny? No. See, words cannot describe your soul.

You helped me flourish and grow, from a seedling into a beautiful flower.

Your kindness and generosity touched my soul in a way like none other.

In the few years I had known you, you helped shape me into the person I am today.

And I thank you for doing so.

I learned so much from you. Like how to enjoy life.

Not to take it for granted.

Because tomorrow is never promised.

And today is a gift.

A gift we should cherish with our every breath.

Saying goodbye is the hardest thing one can ever do.

But I know, deep down, that there is no such thing as goodbye's.

Only until we meet again's.

And I know we will meet again.

And I know you are still with us.

Though you are so far away.

But you will forever remain in my heart.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Written for my high school English teacher. Though it has been two years since her passing, and eleven years since Graduation, she really had a strong influence on my life. Rest in Peace, Linda Peterson.. You will be missed.
