He likes you

He tries so hard to let you know he likes you

He craves you?

He puts in energy and time and effort

He watches you

He can’t wait to see you

Sometimes he feels he actually needs you

But you gave in, and you gave too much

Maybe you shared too much

or maybe was it he who asked too much

But suddenly he’s lost interest

or he forgot

and you?

Sitting in the microwave waiting for him to come home and remember

so that maybe he’ll push reheat

Author's Notes/Comments: 

Its just something everyone has been on the receiving end of. I have felt many times like im just that cup of coffee I come home to in the microwave that I forgot to drink. Mostly because I forgot I made a cup, maybe because I didnt actually NEED it, partially because I'm too busy and something else more important is grabbing my attention. I have also made someone my cup of coffee. Long story short, we've all been there.
