Children's happy cries

Resonate throughout the room

As they open their gifts

And discover the treasures inside



Adult's gather to reflect

ON the past year gone by

Of the high points and the low

And what may come of the next year



Families gather together

For a feast of turkey,potatoes, and pie

After the meal, they share their holiday memories

And go for a stroll through the countryside



As the day draws to a close

The energy level remains the same

Young children play with their new toys

Older ones fool around with their gifts

The adults simply relax

And bask in the love of the season
