Inside the sanctuary of the cool rock
The darkness of home
Though I know not the meaning yet
The brontosaurus shakes the earth
Beginning to understand energy
and there is controlled heat, light
But the journey will be exhausting
The construction is a daunting task
The Sphynx watches as I
stand, panting, in the hot sand
Feeling the sun beating down
I'll admire these geometric wonders
for the rest of my life
Bringing the day's goods to the village square
My wagon drawn by a dusty
but faithful mule
Another day in the marketplace
Anticipating my arrival
at my cottage, its comfort
Reaching the shore of a new land
Leaving the confines of the ship
Progress, not compassion
We have a goal to accomplish
They tell us we're heroes
Our world has been destroyed
These strange new men
Imposing their shortsighted beliefs
Upon our sacred customs
Life used to be so simple and true
Equality is coming
A breakthrough for humanity
I've heard too many gunshots
Screaming out a color
Modern technology can't simulate happiness
Sleepwalking through a maze
with TV screen walls
Drown it all out
I'll have another, actually make that a double
Being successful and happy
Induces stress, you know
Gazing at a magnificent waterfall
Huge rock face carved by water
during my lifetimes
Lying on the warm rock, open, receptive
Feeling and seeing the energy flow through me
Carrying my spirit to peace
Past Present Future are ONE.
I rise from my slumber
Into an eternal, wondrous dream:
