Forbidden longings cloud her heart,
block her from loving again.

She struggles to feel nothing,
keeping them at bay.

What she wants,
she can never find again.

She's felt true happiness,
and the worst heartache she's ever had to bear.

Desires consume her,
make her long for a forgotten future.

How much more pain can she endure?

Her heart is now cold,
only one person has ever been able
to warm it, to bring her back to life,
yet he longer loves her.

She stands at the brink of her sanity,
wondering why she lives.

Will she ever be able to move on?

Does she really want to?

She steps over the edge,
into a world where nothing matters.

Why try to love again,
when her heart will never be whole?

She loves him,
yet he rejected her.

She slices deep,
no sissy cuts this time,
deep as she can go.

Doesn't matter what happens now,
she smiles sadly.

The future she's longed for,
with all her soul,
will never come true.
