A promise made here and there

Promises meant to be broken

Am I really to be trusted?

Every lie

Broken promise

Darkens the light of our future

I’ve been broken hearted

But I’ve done my share

And I lay here alone in the dark

My dreams were so sweet

Until I saw your face

Like a waking nightmare

Now I can’t sleep
