Rescue Me Rescue You

So no more mushy love poems.
They will never express,
this mess my life has become.
I am out of control,
since I met you, long ago.
Me that neat freak,
organized, rushing girl.
No time to take care,
of myself, only others.
Till you knocked me,
right on my tired ass.
Making me homemade soup,
to steam up my specs.
Brain relaxed and fuzzy,
you crept into my heart.
Neglected girl that you were,
hurt my warrior's heart.
Jumping in front of you,
in rightous kick ass mode.
I fought for my lover,
she who deserved the moon.
You had me figured though,
I know now that you did.
Saw me coming from miles away,
wondering if I was a user.
To abuse your sacred alter,
then leave in a cloud of dust.
But you never counted on me,
my loyalty, my courage.
The only thing I wonder,
is how you never realized.
I was here so lonely,
waiting to be rescued by you.
So now I smile at the mess,
and snuggle my beautiful girl.
Laughing at your naked bum,
trying to pick up clothes.
You never stop trying,
just to make me happy.
Not a wimp, or a whiner,
but a strong woman.
In love with me,
another strong woman.
Grateful for every breath,
every touch, every taste.
