Death Upon Her

In silence he lay upon her pillow,

As cold and icy as winters' eve

Falling upon her every breath

Goosebumps appear

Her body no longer lays warm

Every part of her body now seems too bare

Clothing cannot stop the coldness from over taking her body

She tosses

As if looking for some kind of warmth

The faint blonde hairs on her arms

seem to stand on their ends

Her nipples are now visible

through the white fabric of her nightgown

They seem to be trying to escape and poke through the fabric

All the blankets cannot seem to stop the cold

His hands touch her every part

Sending chills throughout her body

So deep they feel

Even her soul feels them

Yet her eyes do not open

she remains in sweet sleep

In hours it is all gone

She believes it to be a reoccuring dream

To her he's nothing but a fantasy

But he watches her every night

Laying next to her

with a coldness he cannot shake

He waits until her death

For then he will hold her

With his icy arms of death.
