Invisible scars
Are more than just marks
Under the surface
they’re painful memories
But they have a purpose
I’ve been hit
With reality bullets
And run over
By trains of thought
They’ve created the large amount
Of invisible scars I’ve got
And the scars you see
Are visible, invisibility
Each one is a memory
A date, a time, a place
So much less permanent
They’re painful, but they fade
Walking alone,
Down these crowded hallways
Somewhere, someday
I’ll find my place
Pushed me past my breaking point
So I can’t even bend
I always thought forever, didn’t have an end
If you listened to the silences
And read between the lines
Maybe then, you’d finally see
Life, through my eyes
