SOME TIMES
(T. Beechey)
Some times I suspend my belief just so the grief can subside
Some times I hide within full view just so you won't be denied
Some times I confide in my dreams just so it seems I'm not alone
Some times I've known it all along I was wrong to call you my own
Some times I laugh through my tears
Just so it appears I'm intact
Some times I act unafraid
Just so it all fades into black
Some times I lack what it takes
Just to make it to the end
Some times I spend a minute more
Inside the door of a trusted friend
Some times I'm who I claim to be just to see if it's for real
Some times I feel your slightest pain just to remain in your appeal
Some times I reveal more than I should just so I could be a part
Some times I start without a clue just so you knew I had your heart
Some times I die even as I live
Just to give you a second chance
Some times I can't understand
Just so I land in your embrace
Some times I face what terrifies
Just to realize who I am
Some times I damn what I love most
Just to boast I'm not a sham
Some times I walk past my silohuette just to get my bearings straight
Some times I debate with my own mind just to find arms that wait
Some times I sit with my memories just to ease a passing thought
Some times I'm not myself at all just to dull what I've forgot
