EVERYTHING
(T. Beechey)
Somewhere between before and after are reflections of tears, echoes of laughter
And all they do is commemorate everything too much too late
Somewhere between no and yes are speculations, a lucky guess
And all they do is synchronize everything with blinded eyes
Everything is coincidence
Till there's something that makes sense
Out of anything that is known
And nothing's ever left alone
Somewhere between the light and shade is every decision never made
And all they do is signify everything that's gone by
Somewhere between me and you are all the lies you thought were true
And all they do is close evermore everything that wasn't yours
Everything no longer exists
Till there's something right from the list
Of anything that makes a stance
And leaves nothing left to chance
Somewhere between life and death are all the moments within each breath
And all they do is atrophy everything unwillingly
Somewhere between the moon and sun are all the dreams of everyone
And all they do is overlook everything existence took
Everything is a passing phase
Where absolutely nothing stays
Even anything that reflects
On something in the right respects
Somewhere between the spark and flame are all the chances I can't claim
And all they do is represent everything that's come and went
Somewhere between you and me is everyone I couldn't be
And all they do is define everything that isn't mine
Everything is a state of mind
When there's nothing left to find
And anything doesn't compare
When there's something right somewhere
