GUILTY TILL PROVEN INNOCENT
(T. Beechey)
The statements are submitted and it's obvious to see
All that you'll be acquitted for is the chance to be set free
Your witnesses --- at least the ones we managed to find
Have all stared in too many suns and rendered themselves blind
There's no sense making alibis since each one is untrue
Nothing more than blatant lies from your tainted point of view
You're the only one to blame and so here is your fate:
To bear the burden of your shame until your Judgment Date
Guilty till proven innocent, there's no need for a trial
Since each and every argument will end with the denial
Of your so-called innocence,so just accept your guilt
Which will only be erased whence your marker stone is built
It's pointless to rebuttal for the case is said and done
With only one question: what'll await when you are done
Living this life of sin with remorseless attitude?
I just hope you enjoy being in pain without interlude
The jury is assembled, but they're not of your peers
They've all,at one time, trembled as the thought of you brings fears
Those that have been slighted and suffered by your hand
Waiting for wrongs to be righted --- before them, you shall stand
Guilty till proven innocent, there's no need for a trial
Since each and every argument will end with the denial
Of your so-called innocence,so just accept your guilt
Which will only be erased whence your marker stone is built
Your defense is quite defenseless;the prosecution rests
With arms folded snugly over each one of their chests
The verdict is announced in a tone which echoes loud
Thunderous applause and cheering emerges from the crowd
Yes,the gavel,it has fallen with a resonating ring
You're to account for all and each and every thing
That has ever transpired since the dawn of time...
Will you now be attired in the color of your crime?
