DESTINY AWAITS
(T. Beechey)
There once was a moment that I thought I shared
But then I dared to look behind
And what I did find was merely a stain
Doomed to remain and remind
A moment just to glimpse the symphony of man
To span the entire spectrum, join us if you can
There's always open spaces, seeking faces --- yours and mine
Join the line as it's forming, take the warming as a sign
And I couldn't erase what lingered there
I had to wear it with a smile
Even knowing all the while this echo from the past
Would play on every dial
All throughout within, the tune shall resonate
And never waits to be announced
On its own time,it will pounce and claim me as its own
I have grown by its accounts
For within there's no labels, just broken fables often told
And cold, distant glances which enhances eyes that scold
Have no power and are useless,no excuses --- all are prone
To be shown for what they're meaning, the unscreening of their own
