On this, your day, I would love to give you all of the things your heart desires

The things that make you happy, even the ones you've always wanted

I would bridge the gap between time and space to make all of your dreams come true

Instead I give you the part of my heart that swells every time I know you're thinking of me

I give you the part of my mind that is constantly filled with thoughts of you

I give you the part of my soul that is touched by the things that you share

I give you the breath that catches in my throat at the things that you say

So though I'm not there to give you the material things that this day could bring

What I give, I give freely and know that on this, your day,   and in the days to come,
