i fear that extra gene
in any animal
that will relegate us
to the second place of animal chain
my achievements -
these countless setbacks
that have built mountains in me
letdowns that couldnt
even climb a foot of them
rhythms from the mounts,
the trees sing, the wind whistles,
the sea crashes, thunder rumbles
festival of the gods!
this sad fact
our life plagued by
issues often not either
black or white
the path evil dares to thrive
