laying on the ground
the cold seeps in from the earth
looking at the sky
the orange glow as the sun sets
wondering why this happened
why did the world stop
suddenly crashing down
the explosions start
ringing in my ear
i wonder where she is
is she among the stars
as the stars twinkle
are they answering my crys?
the cold seeps deeper
yet i feel warm
i turn my head
as i see the last explosion
the car in flames
only inch's away
her body lays there
the light gone from her eyes
her last words never to be forgotten
I'm sorry
watching as the light faded
the warmth takes hold
as the sirens scream
as if waking him
what am i without her
he wonders as he lets go.
