The societal theory of sanity
Is one of seeming falsity.
To segregate a person's mentality,
Is an understatement of complexity.
We are all burdened to some extent
By our troubling brain content.
The curse of mental illness
Is the dehumanising commonality.
Where in lies the sheer brilliance,
Of sharing abnormality?
Counter crippling uniformity,
Alter your mind for a while.
Crush your mind in intoxication
In any attempt to create a negation.
Is there beauty in naturality?
Help me mimick the bare essentials,
So I may regain my human credentials.
With you, oxytocin is not a guise,
Vasopressin can flow freely
And there is little need for disguise.
I refuse to believe there's logic
In the affection held for her.
Do not speak it as neurologic
As if it is likely to recur.
Lay for a while, lest I relapse,
And allow me to simply relish
Being able to instinctively relax.
I don't need the heat of luxury
With a body clasped upon me.
I don't want inductions of love
With the reality in front of me.
