They say the words so freely,
"I love you."
They can melt your heart with their words,
yet it's only words.

Action is required to see
those words come to life.
To do what they say,
so that you know they really mean it.

Yet sometimes these things fade,
the feelings removed,
no longer seeing you for who you are,
for whatever reason.

This does not mean fault falls on only you,
that you're somewhat different after the fact.
The issue isn't you,
it's them.

Yet viewpoints are slanted,
and opinions are now misguided,
based on their words against you,
yet they are baseless.

You can still stand in front of the mirror
and find favor in yourself,
your worth is still great,
you are still you.

Whatever happens,
at the end of it all,
you still survived,
standing after the fact.

You learned a lot
from wisdom, trust, and
learning more about yourself,
growing as you move forward.

Just don't second guess yourself.
