You are like the sunshine after the rain

You are the comfort in my pain

You are the one that keeps me happily insane.

And you are a great gift from God.





I remember that you comforted me when I was sad

And to see you, I was almost always glad

I remember you taught me much about the love of Christ

And about always doing right



I remember you gave me love that money could never buy

I remember the grace and beauty that your presence exuded

I remember how much you loved (and still love) God and people

And how much you blessed this steeple



And you have that sparkling smile

That millions adore

Your eyes sparkle like the sun

But soon your days here will be done





I will miss you my friend

I can't believe this will soon be the end

I know I will never be able to forget you

Or all that you have ever done for me
