shades of grey infront of me

blur things i no longer care to see

distorting lies told to cover lies

in these shades of grey it all holds true



shades of grey rob me of my sight

take from me vision and leave me alone

give in place confussion and this sense

that in these shades of grey all i have is hollow sound



shades of grey, darken and are no longer shades

just one color, one hue, one black, one hole

the emptiness ive been given, i feel so far gone

in shades of grey i cannot navigate the minefield of life
