The demons laugh and play

My heart beats the drum of life
I stand before the trumpet herald
Not forgotten soon forsaken
Upon the rocks I breathe again
Bleeding all into the sand
In the ocean I dare to swim
Spirit soars above thy kin
Upon my knees I pray for you
Spirits fall to them I call
Break me once and never again
Into the shadows I walk
Away from light into the day
Night awakes rain refreshes
From the ashes new life forms
My shadow less life in a shadow
I stand and walk along the path
Upon the rock where I once stood
Where angels sang their melody
The rose it blooms alone again
My life forlorn and battered then
Hate rose up I will not fall
The fallen angel only calls
