I love you, I swear I do.
This is what you said,
You swore your love to me
and I believed it all was true.
But I must be stupid
to have believed you.
You swore on it and never did,
I hate you for your lie.
You swore you loved me
as I fell for you
and now I've fallen hard
the pain from the fall
has made me crawl
out from under your shadow of lies.
You swore you loved me and sadly I still do,
because I really swore my love to you.
Beautiful heartfelt poem, so true of so many people, I never want to hear promises again, just take one day at a time. I hope your heart heals soon. Look after yourself.
