Lovely Lizzie

She took no drug not prescribed, took nothing she thought expolited by mankind, Lived her life by the book, she helped her fellow man, collecting funds from the reluctant whenever she can, sweet sweet Lizzie loved all animals and kids, she loved every creature to ever exist, she walked to places far away, even on such rainy days, she thought the fresh air did her good, she thought she needed it, thought she should, the exercise would keep her fit, keep her strong and well, and one less car causes less pollution, those are the issues on which Lizzie would dwell.

She looked both ways before crossing the street, looked each way twice more before moving her feet, she fed on a lunch of water and rice, since a healthy diet grants a long life, she slept safe and sound, no noise interrupted, she always made sure that her eight hours sleep, would not be corrupted, they said she was so pure, so strong inside, she had such morals, she never lied, she never stole, she would never cheat, nothing more precious than a precise heartbeat, Lizzie brushed her hair so carefully, one hundred times a day, no less, no more, she'd do backstroke in the sea, staying close to the shore, helping the children to build sandcastles, making them food, spring water and apples, she's pray at church, and live by her vows, knowing she'd stick to them all somehow.

But alas one day this Lizzie woke up, to suddenly discover that she was out of luck, out on her walk towards the park, when she felt a sharp pain, a stab at her heart, panicking she walked faster, reviewing her ways, she felt sure she'd swallowed a vitamin that day, then a sharper attack sent Lizzie to the ground, she cried out for help, but there was nobody around...

And on that day, when Lizzie did die, her very last thought was her wondering "why", icy and stiff, in the morgue where she lay, she heard the mortician gravely say; "This one had a heart condition."

A horrified Lizzie could not believe, that this could happen and make her cease to breathe, make her unable to sit up and say; "You've gotten it wrong, i couldn't die this way!"  But alas she lay there cold and still, no need for a blanket, a check- up or a pill, for Lizzie had lived life more on the edge than most, by dwelling upon her diet and dose, she'd become so anxious, become so scared, that being so careful was what resulted in her untimley end...

She'd lived her life so well and good, ruining the health that she'd wanted to keep, now Lizzie lies flawless and six feet deep.
