It’s almost over, but not between us

Catching up with you is a must

You will be in my head,

Your words I’ll have said.

Over and over I’ll wonder if you can tell

And keep wishing that place wasn’t hell

But I know I need to replace the blame with shame



And everywhere you look

Won’t remind you of me

All the time I took

To try and make you see

So this is love I’m trying to cram

Into your face, choking you blind

And you might feel my heart in the darkness

Reaching into your mind

Getting there is the hard part

But I know you won’t ever come to me

Realizing a sacrifice is a start

I don’t want to take a hopeless chance

And ask the queen to dance

Because she spoiled my past

So now I can’t bring myself to ask

If you’ll ever love me?
