There once was a boy. There once was a girl.
There once was a small town, separated from the rest of the world
He wasn’t sure what he should do
All she wanted was the truth
The truth was he was scared, unsure of the way he felt
She felt she had wasted too much time, but it was still hard to tell
So the days went on, the story stayed the same
One minute he’d be perfect, a dream come true
The next he didn’t know her, she didn’t know what to do
So the pattern continued, back and forth they would go
She had always taken him back, but she couldn’t take anymore
So now was one of the times, he didn’t know her name
If he tried to come back again, it wouldn’t be the same
The girl knew it had to end, but she still wanted him so bad
She still didn’t know what to do, she’d given him all she had
He sat at home, thinking about who knows what
But she’s sure it’s not her
So enough was enough
If a next time came, she wouldn’t give in
If he wanted her, it would be up to him
Everyday, he still ignores her in the halls
Never even acknowledges she's there, like they’ve never met at all
Maybe it would have been better if they never had
Then when she looked at him, it wouldn’t have to hurt so bad
