This happened at the airport 

What happened wasn't planned 

A line of people at the Delta counter

Each with a demand 

A woman comes bursting in

She appeared very nervous 

Ran to the front of the line 

Said 'I demand some service!'

She's screaming 'Urgency!

I need to be on the next plane out!'

The man behind the counter

Said 'You don't have to shout'

The woman said 'Give me a ticket 

Do you know who I am?'

The man behind the counter 

Said 'Sorry, I don't, ma'am'

'I see that you're upset 

I sympathize with your plight 

But there are people here

Ahead of you, they come first, all right?'

The woman, she got more irate 

Kept repeating 'You know who I am?'

The man behind the counter 

Said 'Please hold a minute, ma'am'

He pressed a few buttons 

Got on the P.A.

Announced 'At the Delta counter 

Someone needs help, ok?'

'There's a lady standing here 

She don't know who she be

Can anyone assist her

Confirm her identity?'

Wasn't this the best story 

That you ever heard?

I really should edit it
