This is the story of June
A gal living in Altoona
Was gonna tell it to you later
But decided to tell it to you sooner
June was a Catholic girl
A very pretty one too
One day she shocked her fanily
'Yes, I'm in love with a Jew'
They all wanted to meet this man
See the kind of man he be
His name was Gustav Teitlebaum
But everyone knew him as Gus T
They met this man, Gus T
But things did not go well
The first thing that they noticed
He had an awful smell
'When did you last take a shower, Gus T?'
'Haven't taken a shower since 2003'
'How can June stand it? You smell a lot!'
'Believe it or not, June thinks I'm hot!'
June's family told Gus T
'You're not right in the head'
Then they checked with June
On everything he said
June told them in no uncertain terms
'Everything that he said I confirm
One thing I know. Aww Gus T, is hot
I know I'll always love him, leave him? I will not!'
Do you believe anything either of them said?
I would say the both of them are not right in the head
If June was with me here today
I'd look her straight in the eye and this is what I'd say
June, Jew lie! Aww Gus T, must forget him. Must, not may
And you must leave him, without delay
How could you forget? Must I say
June comes before July and August, and after May!
June couldn't forget him, how could that be?
The calendar says June isn't after Aww Gus T!
Remember June also thinks Aww Gus T is hot?
Can you tell me anyplace where it's not?
I believe I've hit the wall, have nothing left to say
Did you like this poem? Did it confuse you? It may
But doesn't May always come before June?
If I don't stop now, this poem may be my ruin
THE END
