When I write a poem and publish it

It's not so unexpected 

No one will pay attention to it

Just as I suspected 

I submitted some poems I wrote

To a publisher, thought they'd be accepted 

But I should have realized

Of course, they were rejected

I keep a pile on my desk of my letters of rejection 

Don't even have one single letter of acception

Is acception a word? Maybe that the reason?

Not sure if it is or not, I'm only teasin'

Can't these places make for me an exception?

I can be the exception to the rule

But I am such a fool, should  forget about the poems

I'd rather watch TV but I don't good reception
