A reading of my poem
'In the present tense'
It's not my intent
To use the present tense
But it makes me feel so tense
These feelings are intense
Is there anyone who feels
I'm going too fast?
Put being tense about
The present tense in the past!
How does the present make us tense?
I know for sure! Not on the fence
It's because my landlord
He went and raised the rents!
it doesn't make much sense
For him to raise the rents
People who can't afford it
May move out and live in tents!
