Tale of a tardy policeman
There once was a gal named Vanna
About whom no one had a bad word
You're gonna feel bad for Vanna
After I tell you what occurred
Vanna was in bed watching TV one night
When suddenly she heard a sound
She got nervous, Vanna lives alone
She said 'Who's that? Who's around?'
She called the cops, said 'I'm scared
Send someone here to me'
They said 'Yes ma'am, we understand
Someone will come ASAP'
It took two hours for the sound to stop
Vanna was in an anxious state
When the policeman finally did arrive, she said
'Waited for you to come so long, you're here, cop you late!'
The cop looked at Vanna
He tried to understand
He said 'You say cop-you-late? You Vanna?
Your wish is my command!'
The moral of the story
You'll get it if you ain't dumb
If you call for a cop, he shows up late
Keep quiet, or he might expect you both to come!
