Gonna tell you all a fable
About a gal named Mabel
A cuter gal you wouldn't meet
So well mannered and so sweet
Very emotionally stable
Mabel had a job as a clerk
Her boss was a real jerk
He couldn't outclass her
So he would harass her
Couldn't quit 'cause she needed to work
Mabel had a neighbor who
Was a doorman on 5th Avenue
Told her 'You I've always admired
Soon I'll be retired
Who'll replace me? How 'bout you?'
Mabel went for an interview
To the building on 5th Avenue
They said they also admire her
But they didn't hire her
You may not believe why, but it's true
Told her 'We realize this may sound deplorable
You have a problem that's not ignorable
We have no doubt that you're able
To do the job, Mabel
The problem is you're too adorable!'
