Headline in today's N.Y. Times:
'Israel-Hamas War. Israel and Hamas Agree to Extend Truce, Qatar Says'

Yes, that's what the headline says. Qatari officials, who helped negotiate the initial deal, said Israel and Hamas had agreed to pause fighting for another two days.
Can you believe this? Israel and Hamas, this is no way to fight a war. Another two days of peace? Are they crazy? Who's stopping them from extending the truce for another two days? A week? God forbid, forever?
Qatari officials, I know you believe you're doing the right thing by negotiating this truce. Please mind your own business. Let Israel and Hamas continue their war without further interruption. It's what they do. I would focus my efforts on more urgent issues such as, when are you gonna add a 'U' to your country's name? Should be Quatar. A 'Q' should always be followed by a 'U'. Don't you know that?
