Solve for X

Headline in today's N.Y. Times:

'X May Lose Up to $75 Million in Revenue as More Advertisers Pull Out'

https://www.nytimes.com/2023/11/24/business/x-elon-musk-advertisers.html

X has a problem. It needs to be solved. Solve for X!

Let X = Social media company that may lose up to $75 million in ad revenue.
Let Y = Why? Why may X lose up to $75 million in ad revenue?

We know why.

Because of the actions of one man, Elon Musk, the owner of X, who endorsed some wacky antisemitic conspiracy theory.

Let 1 = Elon Musk.

Given that information, we can say  X + 1 = Loss < or = to $75 million.

How to solve for X?

The reason for the anticipated loss is because of what Elon Musk (1) did. We can therefore assume if there was no Elon Musk, X would not be facing an anticipated loss of up to $75 million, correct?  Therefore, X - 1 = 0 loss.

X + 1 = Up to $75 million loss.

X - 1 = 0 loss.

Problem solved! X, get rid of Elon Musk! He's the problem!

This may be difficult since he owns the company. I'll leave the solution to others more qualified to address the problem.
