Why do some live in splendor
While others live in squalor?
Resentment builds, they give up hope
Some find their situation's very hard to cope
No one can excuse the tactics that they use

What's happening in Israel is very heartbreaking
To try to achieve peace, a tremendous undertaking
Is there any way to conquer each sides fears?
They've felt this way for thousands of years
How many innocent lives we've yet to lose
