If I was asked to predict 

The outcome of this historic conflict

I would wonder if the jury verdict 

Was one where they convict

Can any party to this case contradict?

Or is their decision akin to an edict?

In addition, if I might

You may notice a peculiar sight

The words I used to end each line above

All end using the same letters which are

pronounced the same way, right?

But that's not the case with the word 'indict'

Why is that? Is 'indict' pronounced right?

Does anyone think it be pronounced wrong? It might

The answer may not simply a case  

Of black and white
