If I had but one memory to retain I'd 

Love to recall the first time we met

Yes, I was unsure of what to say

Though you made it easy and pointed out the way

Remember how strange it all seemed?

A dream perhaps? A fantastic and ecstatic dream

Can we get that feeling back? I hope we can

Yet it cannot be the same as when I said I 

Loved you for the first time and 

You said you loved me too My life has

Not been the same since that moment I will

Never forget as long as I live
