A legacy to stand on

Headline in the N.Y. Times today:

'The Legacy Dilemma: What to Do About Privilege for the Privileged?'

https://www.nytimes.com/2023/07/30/us/politics/legacy-admissions-college-alumni.html

As the sub-headline notes 'Alumni of many colleges are wrestling with whether legacy admissions should survive after the Supreme Court gutted race-based admissions programs.'

I'm not an expert in collegiate wrestling rules, but in Greco-Roman wrestling, you're prohibited from using your legs to grab your opponent below the hips. A violation of this rule could result in disqualification.

This is the dilemma alumni must wrestle with. They can't use a leg a? See?
