Be a savvy senior

I've been looking to get a new computer.

Nothing fancy. Just basic functions.

I saw an ad in the AARP Bulletin

'The Smart, Easy Computer for Seniors'

I read the ad carefully, have some questions:

1) Says I'd be able to video chat with the grandkids.

My grandkids hate me. Video chat with me? Are you serious?

I blame my daughter-in-law for telling them vicious lies about me.
Will this computer help me improve our relationship?

2) 'Large Font. Easy to See Easy to Read'

My grandson e-mailed a paper he wrote for his economics class on the future

of US-China relations from an economic perspective. Was it easy to see? Sure. Easy to read? Ugh. Not very. Would work as a cure for insomnia, though.

3) It has Speech to Text. You talk, it types. Claims no one likes to type.

I take exception to that statement. I like to type. I actually find it relaxing.

They shouldn't have said that. Kind of annoying.

4) My final point concerns what happens after everything else is resolved.

You'd need to call the 800 number and place your order. Customer service

will ask for your credit or debit card information. Should you give it to them?

Every month the Bulletin's telling you DON'T GIVE YOUR INFORMATION TO ANYONE IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT THEIR PRODUCT OR SERVICE! I have questions on this computer as noted above. What the hell am I supposed to do now?
