My father was a quiet man
He didn't make much noise
I guess that's a good thing
for a father of two boys
As he got older, my father
liked to sit in his favorite chair
and listen to classical music
He said once it kept him sane
My father was a smart man
He did the NY Times crossword
every day until he stopped
When he was near the end
My father never worked with
computers. By the time he
retired, most people had
He was a whiz with numbers
Like many men of his generation
he was not overtly emotional
I think he kept a lot inside
Maybe not the best way to be
The older I get, the more I
think I understand my father
I think about him all the time
