My wife suggested I go on a diet

I thought, why not? Might as well try it

I have some extra pounds to lose

Which have been giving me the blues

Quick! There's no time to waste!

To lose this spare tire around my waist!

I shouldn't have bothered 

I just don't care

I tire of wanting to lose the spare

What makes me say what I say?

I discovered that our scale is broken 

To my wife, these words I've spoken

'Know you want me to lose some weight

I'm sorry, that'll have to wait

Until we purchase a new scale 

I can get as fat as a whale

Unless you can find a way

I'm telling you, there is no weigh!!'
