Don’t take away her staff

I've previously written about Senator Dianne Feinstein of California. Aged 89 and barely able to function, she doesn't seem to have any intention of resigning. It's sad to see.
The NY Times has a story which focuses on how she's managing to fulfill her responsibilities as a member of Congress. The headline reads as follows:

'Feinstein, Back in Senate, Relies Heavily on Staff to Function'

Having a staff can be a great help to someone who has difficulty walking. I recall my late father had a great deal of difficulty walking. He didn't use a staff like Sen. Feinstein, he got by with a walker. As he got older, we were able to acquire a rollator which he was very happy with since it allowed him to sit as opposed to the walker which did not.

There was one sentence in that article that jumped out at me. It said 'All senators rely heavily on staff'. I found this very surprising. Not surprising for Chuck Grassley or Bernie Sanders, 89 and 81 respectively. But what of Senators Jon Ossoff of Georgia or J.D.Vance of Ohio? They're only 36 and 38.

I've searched for images of both of them on Google. From what I can tell, they both seem to be healthy young men who wouldn't need a staff to rely on.

Is this a can of worms that needs to be opened? If it's true that every Senator needs a staff, might there be other health problems being covered up?

NY Times, start investigating!
