This time in the Netherlands
I didn’t want to write about it
I didn’t feel right about it
It would seem to be exploiting the tragedy
But I felt the need to remind myself that
There is still great beauty in the world
Sometimes we need to go find it
In the Netherlands in Amsterdam
There stands a museum containing
Beautiful works of great art
lf you’re ever around there
You may care to pay it a visit
I’m sure you can reach it
By bus or train or minivan
Yes Just go there
Take the van Go
In the seventies a man who
Is now in his seventies himself
Wrote a beautiful song
You could not go wrong by listening
Just don’t even pretend that
By the time you get to the end
Your eyes won’t be glistening
Dedicated to Vincent van Gogh
and all victims of senseless violence
