TORCH LADY

Lady Liberty holds her head high

And her torch higher

Standing in the harbor

Welcoming all who look upon her

She knows no prejudice

Towards the huddled masses

Who lift their tired eyes

To gaze upon the face of freedom

And the crown of glory

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem flowed out of me in pure form by stream of conciousness. Taking less than two minutes to compose, it felt as if someone else was writing it.  Weird!
