A Lover's Prayer



As I lay me,

Down to rest,

I smile as I feel,

Your gentle caress.



I feel all fuzzy,

From head to toe,

I hunger for your love,

I need you so.



The sound of your voice,

Makes my heart melt.

Suddenly I'm not tired,

As we play the cards dealt.



You wrap me tightly,

In your embrace,

Lost in your arms,

You kiss my face.



You take me places,

That nobody else can.

You prove to me time after time,

That you'll always be my man.



Now I lay me,

Down to rest,

I thank God,

For giving me the best.
