You say I’m daddy’s little girl
But you never understand why
I love and need my daddy for many of things
Like how he use to hold me high in the air and make me fly high like the angel he said I was
Where the crisp and bright sunlight shines in my hair
Where I hear the music of Heaven being sang for the angels above
He’s the one who checked under my bed
When I would wake up in a frantic fright
You might not think I need him still today
But he’s the one who’s been there for me
When I would fall and skin my knee
He was the who would make it all right
Knowing one day that I would grow up and leave
He gave me the space to fly
When my heart got broke all of those times
He was the loving embrace that chased that feeling of hurt away
So ya I might be daddy’s little girl
But no matter what happens I know he’ll be right there
Now that I’m older
And I have a family of my own
I can’t thank him enough for everything he’s done
He taught me to change my oil, and how to drive
Just some more memories that I can hold inside
And I’ll always love him till the end…
Because daddy’s never turn their backs on their little girls
And he’ll be my daddy to the very end
