FABLE
Hi! This is a fable that i wrote with Mauricio Garcia
It all turned into ashes, the sky turned gray, and all that was ever known was gone. There was only one man standing in the middle of it all. He was devastated to see what happened to the world that he used to know. He walked for miles looking for a sign of life, but as time went by he gave up. He hadn’t slept for days and had nothing to eat, but he really didn’t need it. One day, when the man was walking in the middle of nowhere he heard a peculiar voice at the distance. He followed the voice for an hour or two. He approached into a cave, where the voice was, and heard a conversation about a plan of recreation of the earth. He felt a sudden relief that there was another living thing still in the earth. He entered the cave and decided to interrupt the conversation he heard. The first thing he saw was a lion talking to an eagle and a crocodile. They all where malnourished and seemed pretty upset. The man interrupted with a sudden question, “ And how do think you are going to do all this?” said the men. “So who are you?” the eagle recalled. “That doesn’t matter right now, the only thing that matters is to arrange this disaster”. “Can you help us?” the crocodile asked with hesitation. “ I think I have an idea on how to do it, but Ill need your help”. The lion thought for a minute, and then said, ”Ok, so what is your plan”. “The plan is simple” the man said. “We all have to put our part and effort, crocodile you are the one that supposedly be on the water, so you have to collect all the water you can in the following 3 days and put it together in the area behind those mountains. Lion, you are on the ground all the time, so your job is to find all the living things you can find on earth, if there are any left, and put them just around the water that your friend will collect, Eagle, you have the major role, you have to help both in the air by looking with your perfect vision, take an advantage of what you’ve given. In 3 days I’ll be back”. Before any of the animals asked him what he would do those 3 days, the man was gone, and a bright light came out of the sky but suddenly disappeared. The animals were confused but they had no other choice but do as told, because they were desperate. 3 days passed, and the animals did as he asked. The crocodile collected just a very small amount of water as if to fill half a normal-size cup and the lion just found one leave. After a while waiting the animals heard a voice that told them: “PRAY”, so they started praying, suddenly the water started to come out in big quantities and the crocodile got into it, and grass came out of nowhere and every piece of nature was back again. The animals were very happy, and understood that things won´t be given to you easily, you have to fight for what you want.
